TERMINOLOGY
Indica
These strains deliver a more tranquil, relaxed feeling. Some folks might become really sleepy or quiet and give away their hand inadvertently after falling asleep face first into their pile of poker chips.
CBD
(Cannabidiol) A major non-intoxicating compound found in cannabis with powerful therapeutic benefits. CBD won’t get you high, but it may help ease pain, inflammation, anxiety, or sore muscles after a rough day on the range. From salves to oils, it’s like a trusty campfire remedy for modern times.
Terpenes
The aromatic compounds that give cannabis its distinctive flavors and scents — piney, citrusy, earthy, or sweet. Terpenes don’t just smell good; they can also shape how a strain makes you feel. Choosing cannabis without knowing the terpenes is like picking whiskey without checking the label — you might still enjoy it, but you’ll miss half the experience.
Edibles
Cannabis-infused foods and drinks that deliver effects through digestion. From gummies to chocolates to sparkling seltzers, they’re a tasty way to ride the green wave. Just remember: they take longer to kick in, so don’t go doubling down too quick — nobody wins that hand.
Sativa
Cannabis products from this family are said to enhance creativity and spark up fun conversations. For some, sativa can cause a feeling of paranoia, like that nagging suspicion someone is going to steal your horse while you’re in the outhouse.
THC
THC – (Tetrahydrocannabinol) The naturally occurring chemical found in cannabis products that has psychoactive properties which affect your brain, thereby causing intoxicating effects when consumed. Do not saddle up while under the influence of THC.
Concentrates
AKA Wax, Hash, Dabs are highly potent extracts made from cannabis flower, ranging from sticky waxes to glassy shatter. A little goes a long way, like swapping your beer for a shot of moonshine. Best enjoyed slow and steady — this ain’t your first rodeo, partner.

Topicals
Cannabis lotions, balms, and soaks that absorb through the skin without making you feel “high.” Perfect for sore muscles, achy joints, or the aftermath of too many trail miles. Think of them as the modern-day liniment, straight from the apothecary of the West.
